“Gohoud to support human rights defenders” is obligated to protect the privacy of all its users. This policy represents our obligation as an organization towards your right in privacy & clarifies how we use your information. This policy is related with (gohoud.org) website and/or any other affiliated websites.

Definitions

  • The website: means the (gohoud.org) website, and/or any other affiliated websites.
  • Users: the people who frequently use the website, and/or those who submitted personal information while using the website.
  • Users’ data: all the data, automatically collected while the users browse the website, and/or requested while they use the website.
  • Third parties: any governmental or non-governmental authority, foreign or domestic, which the information collected is shared with, whether known or anonymous.

Google Analytics services

The website uses Google Analytics to improve the UX (user experience), and evaluate the website outreach. This data is collected for statistical purposes, including: Web browser used, the OS used (operating system), the device used (computer, smartphone, tablets), language used, country, website browsing duration, old or new users, among other information.

The information that we get from Google Analytics is only used for statistical purposes. Hence, it’s only used to determine your acts using the website. This information doesn’t reveal a person’s identity and is not combined with any information from other sources for the same reason. Google Analytics service only determines your identity as a user or as a unique user through installing permanent “Cookie” on your browser. No one but Google can use these Cookies. Also, this information cannot be copied or used for other services or on other domains. 

Some options in Google Analytics services that can violate the privacy of users has been disabled, namely:

1- Not to integrate CRM data with Google Analytics for any marketing and advertising relevant purposes. 

2- Disabling data sharing settings collected by Google Analytics with other Google services, whether with Google products & services, Benchmarking, Technical support and/or Account specialists II.

3- Blocking the data processing amendment in Google Analytics. 

4- Blocking the data collection for advertising in Google Analytics.

5- Enabling users to delete their data collected by (Google Analytics) through the use of a special (User Deletion API) provided by Google. 

6- Relying on IP Anonymization (or IP masking) in collecting and analyzing data collected by (Google Analytics).

7- Ensuring that the geolocation information sent to Google Analytics is not GPS-specified or highly detailed. 

8- Respect the Do Not Track feature in all services used to analyze and track usage patterns, especially in Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager, and provide the opt-out feature for users.

Using “Cookies”

“Cookies” are information in text format that the website transfers to your computer’s hard drive, so that the website can remember your identity each time you visit it. Cookies usually contain the name of the Internet domain they came from, their “age” and value, and a unique number that is randomly assigned to them.

The website is obligated to announce the modification and/or edit of the privacy policy to all users.
